Football- "Did it before, Do it again" Nigeria was the first African team to pick up a gold medal at Football about 20 years ago, at the Atlanta Olympics 1996, with the likes of Kanu etc, In 2016 they'll be hoping to do the same things and pick up a medal, preferably Gold medal after they were edged out by Argentina at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

2. Athletics- Especially the 4x100 m, race, Nigeria will be looking to pick up a medal here.

3. Wrestling - Nigeria will be hoping to pick up a medal in this sport also represented by Odunayo Adekuoroye and the crew.
