Whoever is behind EFCC Nigeria's twitter handle deserve a raise

Quite so often, civil service jobs in Nigeria can be so routine and not tasking that some people even feel it is a place for people that really don't want to task their brains, but then there are a few that actually stand out, the likes of Nuhu Ribadu , and co I think the person behind this Twitter handle also deserves a mention, or probably he or she is in the wrong profession.

EFCC- Economic and Financial Crimes Commission

Monday inspirational post (Providing exceptional service)

Just last week we read in the News that two celebrities in the US were having issues or (beefing) over a Nanny, what was striking in  the report I read , the nanny's name wasn't mentioned, she wasn't or isn't a celebrity but her services are so exceptional that known people with big names are fighting over her.

I have done my best, a limiting factor - Monday Inspirational

So as we begin this working week today, there is a statement we hear so often when we ask people about things they've done and quite often we hear "I've done my best" this statement is so limiting because most of the times this isn't true, it comes from just being lazy, although in English language it's actually

"  Good, Better and Best "

But do you know there is something above your best?

New Buzz in town (Nigeria (TWINKAS))

Hello everyone once again, thenaijalisting.blogspot.com doesn't promote or isn't affiliated with any of these schemes, this is just for information purposes only.

There is a new wave in town it is called TWINKAS.

Trending topics in Nigeria 8/01/2017-14/01/2017

1.MMM Nigeria returns - Participants of the Ponzi scheme were all smiles and celebrating as the Ponzi scheme apparently started allowing participants to Get Help after they "froze" the scheme for about 1 month, although they promised to resume on the 14th of January but in a surprise move to kick start things, they actually started on the 13th of January 2017, probably to build confidence in people to provide help, although of course with a condition that those who are poorer will be paid first, siting that people were warned to only invest their spare money.

2.FLORA NWAPA- On her 86th posthumous birthday, late Nigerian novelist Flora Nwanzuruahu Nwapa is being celebrated by tech giant Google with a doodle. Doodles are made to celebrate anniversaries, holidays , life of famous people etc.
"Nwapa’s Efuru, published in 1966 was the first book published in English by an African woman, coming just 8 years after Chinua Achebe’s groundbreaking Things Fall Apart. She was also first female commissioner of the then East Central State" Guardian Nigerian.

3.Pretty Mike - The lagos club owner of club Uno was in the News again for attending another event with two ladies on a leash,  this didn't go down well with a lot of Nigerians online and commentators which felt it was degrading, later in the week we heard he was arrested by Lagos state Police command , for charges which we don't know yet, after which he released an apology and said he'll no longer continue this his campaign, although those in the know said he was made to sign and undertaking.

"The undertaking read in part: “I, Mike Eze Nwalie, A.K.A Pretty Mike, of 21A, Magodo GRA, Luma Street, do hereby undertake to stop whatever act of putting girls on a leash or any other degrading treatment to ladies and guys"
 http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/01/human-puppies-pretty-mike-signs-undertaking-stop-using-chains-girls/

his apology went thus on Instagram.
"
"There has been a lot of controversy over two of my outings holding some females on a leash. I apologize to all the women and the good people of Lagos State, Nigeria and the rest of the world who feel dehumanized by this craft that meant well. I will use other platforms and format to continue to create the necessary awareness...#WomenRights #PeaceAmbassador"

4. Football - The African cup of nation (AFCON 2017) started on the 14th of January with the first game of Guinea vs Garbon ending in a 1-1 draw. Nigeria did not qualify for the Football fiesta, which will end on the 5th of February 2017.

EPL - Chelsea and Arsenal had big wins of 0-3 and 0-4 both teams won away from home, Chelsea still sits comfortably ontop the EPL table with 52 points from 21 games, although Chelsea's Diago Costa was left out of the game against Leicester after an outburst with the head coach and fitness coach.

5. Mr. Eazi - The Hollup singer that won the Next rated artiste award at the Headies, was in trouble over his statement ," “Nigeria Ghanaian music’s influence on Nigerian music cannot be over-emphasized.”  This of course was a hard pill to swallow for his Nigerian fans which felt the statement was inappropriate considering the rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria, although he has apologized on micro blogging website twitter.
"“Just got a call, my family in Imeko are doing family meeting to deport me to Ghana. Abeg my Naija people no vex.”" we all hope he'll make less unguided statements in the future.

Pictures kids who grew up in Nigeria in the 90's will relate to

Growing up in Nigeria in the 90's was quite tough, then there were no mobile phones, Television and Video machines was a luxury for the upper middle class and elite, most TV sets were black and white and most often power supply was a problem, kids had to keep busy and probably invented games to keep busy after school some of these games will be written down here while others things that will make you remember your childhood if you grew up in Nigeria will also be uploaded here. This is a work in progress as such, whenever we remember more stuff and we can get pictures of them, we will upload.

1.Canter ball- Probably the kind of all games for male kids, this involved a full squad of players with a goal post and a goal keeper, we really got creative with the goal keepers after a while, the ball could be any round object or after a while we started using the white stuff in radio cassette.

Monday Inspirational (Uphill motion )

Weekly Inspirational

I have decided that I will be inspiring people every Monday of the week, immediately you step out or before you step out of your house you can always come to this blog to get an inspirational post for the week.

Today's inspirational post is about (Uphill motion)

Recently I was made to drive a manual (stick) vehicle, it is an old Peugeot car, although I learned to drive using a 504 Peugeot after that, I ditched driving manual vehicles and for many years I have only practiced using automatic vehicles, so this was quite a challenge, having to recall what I learned earlier and trying to practice again. I noticed that it wasn't so difficult when the road was smooth or the ground was level, like with anything in life, when things are going smoothly we tend to take things for granted, until I had to join a connecting road, and there was a slope, immediately I approached the slope, the car started to make a different sound and before I could say "jack" the vehicle went off, just like with life, I had a passenger in the vehicle, immediately he started contributing, yelling and dishing out instructions, whenever you  face difficulties in life, you'll have people advising you left, right and center, but remember you are in the driving sit of your life and as such , you are the one calling the shots, don't allow people make those big decisions for you. You may regret it later on in life.

Things you must do when things seem tough.

1. Re-access your current situation
2. Plan and learn the technique to enable you overcome the obstacle
3. Be determined.
4. Execute with conviction and believe
5. Reward yourself after you overcome.

Don't give up, whenever you face an obstacle, probably what it needs is more force, more acceleration, more work, more effort and you surely will overcome.
