Top 5 most popular cities in Nigeria

In Nigeria sometimes it is very difficult to draw the line between a State and a City.

1. Lagos - Once the capital of Nigeria, the commercial centre of Nigeria, with several Sea ports and an International Airport, HQ of most multinational companies in Nigeria. Lagos is the 5th largest economy in Africa, it is Nigeria's own big apple, a metropolitan city where everyone is invited, although it is a bit chaotic and untidy in some places, but Lagos definitely has its own energy one that is very contagious that reeks with "I CAN MAKE IT HERE" , the weather is near perfect with lots of lovely beaches and sites to see. Lagos is indeed number 1 .

2. Abuja- The current capital of Nigeria and the sit of Government, its probably the most modern planned city in Africa, it is still a big construction site, it has several rocks and the weather condition is hot or harsh in the afternoon, a metropolitan city with a lot of night live , gardens and sites to see.

3. Kano- The commercial centre of  Northern Nigeria, mainly Muslim , has strict 'Sharia" law in no way metropolitan, huge population.

4. Port Harcourt - Located in the Southern area of Nigeria , popularly known as the South South home to Oil and Gas companies, has an International airport and a sea port also, metropolitan in nature and great night life.

5. Calabar - was once the capital of Nigeria a very small and serene city , popular destination for love birds and a place for family relaxation, very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, great night life also popular for the Calabar carnival that holds once yearly in the month of December.
