GLO CAF award -The Confederation of African Football award was held in Abuja 2017, for footballing brilliance in the previous year, although no Nigerian was nominated for the African Footballer of the year (male) Nigeria won in other categories Asisat Oshoala won in the women's category, while Alex Iwobi of Arsenal won in the Youth category, the Footballer of the year was won by Riyad Mahrez of Algeria and Leicester City.
